Something about the concept of “oneness” has inspired us at the 2017 Dubuque Yoga & Oneness Festival to broaden our view of what people want to learn that is universally important and connecting at a deep level. Not only yoga, but other experiences that bring us together, uncover deeper insights, and give us an opportunity to grow and manifest change in our lives that reveal our greatest potential.   Enter Sandy Rueve.

Described as the “optimistic” astrologer, Sandy is a spirited creator, teacher, workshop presenter and beadmaker. After 24 years of owning her bead-making company, Sandy began studying astrology.  The combination of her passion for bead-making and her expertise in astrology resulted in the manifestation of her business known as “Intention Beads”.  She realized that she could hand create beads at specific astrological movements, giving the beads the energy and vibration of the planets. Now, after 600 talismans, Sandy helps people reach their goals and manifest their intentions every day.

"We believe that through positivity, love, courage and truth, anything is possible. We believe that our beads have the power to encourage, inspire and transform— so that everyone may live a life of intention and purpose.”
                                                                                                     - Sandy Rueve, Intention Beads

Intention Beads necklaces, bracelets and charms are astrological talismans.  Her beads are hand made using the ancient millefiori art process - Italian for “a thousand flowers” which describes the beautiful glasswork technique that produces distinctive, decorative patterns. Each bead is planned and created during astrological transits to embody the sacred energy helping people manifest their desires, prayers and intentions.  Sandy believes that her beads have the power to encourage, inspire and transform so that everyone may live a life of intention and purpose.

We are fortunate to have Sandy offer a Friday intensive in this transformational process.  Her full-day workshop will begin with a reading of the general astrological transit happening universally.  It’ll essentially explain why everyone will have gathered at that specific time.  Each participant will then have their individual chart read for them.  Sandy pointed out that the readings will be much more in-depth than a paragraph that one might read in the newspaper.  Those are general based solely on sun sign astrology.  The readings Sandy provides will include a complete natal chart which consists of 12 houses, 12 signs and 9 planets.

With these two charts (the personal astrological chart and the general astrological transit) participants will learn about their astrological characteristics, important dates, energies they've been working through, and then Sandy will use this information in her guided meditation.  It'll be during this meditation that the soul’s purpose will come through providing additional clarity for deep intentions.  Afterwards, while still in a sacred space, participants will begin to roll their talisman bead as they envision their intentions.  In the final ceremony, the intention-infused beads will have cured and each participant will have their very own talisman.
