SUNDAY'S SCHEDULE:

FESTIVAL MEDITATION VIGIL: 
 Jai Ram, Jim Earles, Jeff Wright and other experienced yogis will be sitting in stillness throughout the Festival. All participants are welcomed and encouraged to join them, even if for a few minutes, in the atrium that overlooks the Mississippi River.

5:00-7:00am - FREE Kundalini Yoga Session
7:30am - Registration Opens
8:00am - Marketplace Opens
8:30-10:00am - Session 4
10:30-12:30pm Session 5

AWAKEN YOUR MORNING AWARENESS- ALL

(Saturday & Sunday 5am-7am)

The Yoga of Awareness, as Kundalini Yoga is called, connects you to your soul in a dynamic, powerful way. Precisely and consciously combining breath, mudra, eye-focus, mantra, postures, and other techniques to balance the glandular system, strengthen the nervous system, expand lung capacity, and purify the blood, it brings balance to the body, mind, and soul. Early morning offers the most effective time to do Kundalini Yoga, which is known as practicing sadhana (spiritual practice).  Start your day with this soothing sadhana, a mix of yogic chanting, asana practice and meditation. Your soul will thank you.

SESSION 4 WORKSHOPS: 8:30-10:30am (choose one)

YOUR BRAIN ON PAIN
with Cathy Corkery
Unlike your tissues, only the brain can interpret and process pain.  If you endure chronic pain and keep moving in your practice in ways that hurt your body, then it’s time to stop feeding the pain monster. Pain-free yoga is possible! Find inspiration from Cathy, who suffered severe chronic pain for eight years and required around-the-clock morphine, to being free of chronic pain since 2012 after taking Yoga Therapy training. Join her to learn how to develop key awareness to stay out of pain and tools so that you and if you are a teacher, your students can move with less pain and greater ease.

BROGA
with Gene Tully
This is an all-male session. Along with overall strength and flexibility, we will focus on the yang energy of the spiritual warrior. From Tadasana to Savasana, we will explore basic asana practice with an approach that encourages you to experience yoga as the yoke of mind, body, and spirit.
Intermediate level.

RESTORE YOUR SOUL 
with Jen McFadden & Karen Kramer
In this opportunity for profound renewal, we will focus on restoring and releasing through the depths of relaxation in supported poses using deep assists, light massage, and reiki-infused healing. Accept this esteemed gift for the soul designed to sustain you for the remainder of the weekend and beyond.

BALANCE YOUR ENERGY, BALANCE YOUR LIFE

The chakra system is an exquisite physical, psychological, and spiritual map of who you are.  When you begin to understand your personal energy system, you start to intuitively understand what you need to live a more balanced life and sustain your soul. We will discuss the seven energy centers, learn our energetic “set point” and our inherent strengths and challenges, and engage in a chakra yoga flow and meditation to balance the chakras.

POINTS OF CONTACT

Asana meets contact improvisation in this mat-free class.  
What is contact improvisation? This contemporary dance form probes the dynamics of living inside of physics and is based on the deep communication of touch between partners. Most commonly practiced in duet form, it is shaped by following the point of connecting touch between partners as they play with gravitational pull and the kinetic possibilities within momentum, friction, and inertia. Free yourself from your mat and find sustenance for your soul in our fun and playful time together.

MUDRAS AND MANTRAS: HEALING TOOLS

You will discover how to sustain and nurture your deepest self by exploring the practices of mudra (hand/body positions) and mantra (both internal and external sounds). THE HEALING POWER OF FORGIVENESS: THE KEY TO A SUSTAINABLE LIFE

Forgiveness is perhaps the most powerful tool we have to heal ourselves. To forgive another heals oneself, just as anger toward another poisons oneself. Anger and resentment destroy our lives.  For the body to heal, often it is most vital to heal the broken heart or spirit. Failure to forgive affects our stress level, power to heal the body, discernment, and all our relationships. First, hear a powerful lecture on forgiving others; then, open your heart as we address forgiving oneself. Bring your mat and writing materials.
