Drumming Alive: reclaim, Teela and James

By reclaiming, honoring, and reintegrating those pieces of ourselves that we’ve rejected and hidden away, we can gain full access to our humanity and the vast energy coursing through our bodies. In this workshop we’ll talk about who we would be if unprocessed emotion no longer lived in our bodies. We’ll learn how to recognize these energetic contractions so that they can be healed, freeing trapped energy and expanding the presence of our souls. And we’ll find some useful ways to sustain our embodiment OUT THERE in a disembodied world. Workshop includes: Discussion, guided journaling, Vinyasa Flow Yoga asana practice with a focus on finding our edge while staying centered, primal movements, neurosensory exercises, live drumming, theta drum entrainment (slowing your brainwaves to a meditative state), and energy work.

Embodying (Safe) Vulnerability, Laura Stephan

Restorative practice exploring the theme of embodying vulnerability in our lives.

We hear a lot about the benefits of living with vulnerability, but this is easier said than done when so many of us have lived our lives behind protective walls. These embodied, energetic walls are useful for a time but get in the way when we want to connect through intimacy and vulnerability with others. This 90-minute class begins with restorative yoga focused on building a sense of safety in the body while slowly starting to explore the theme of vulnerability. We will end with an iRest yoga nidra practice designed to solidify the experiences of the class, preparing attendees to leave with a renewed sense of feeling safe in vulnerability. This class will invite personal, internal experiences and will not require any sharing with the group, though attendees may notice feeling more open and ready for loving connection with others, themselves, and the world upon leaving class.
* Note - please bring a journal as well as a bolster and/or blanket if you have one.

This workshop will include about 1/3 each lecture/journaling, asana, and meditation and will shift back and forth throughout these activities.

Discover your Powerful Purpose, Nedra Blietz

Are you living the life you desire? Is your health, wealth, career, relationships and happiness everything you want it to be?  In this workshop, you will be introduced to powerful techniques to clear blocks and start creating the life of your dreams!  It is possible for all of us to manifest the very best that the Universe has to offer.  The truth is, we are creating our reality, based on our beliefs systems. We will identify limiting subconscious belief patterns, release the ones you feel are no longer serving you and replace them with empowering beliefs that align you with your true self and divine purpose.  Are you ready to reclaim your birthright of pure love, success, joy and abundance?

Bija Vriksha Nyaya: Uncovering & Healing The Issues In Your Family’s Tissues, Jeff Masters

The story of your life is written into the tissues of your body. The prequel to your story is written into your tissues by your ancestors.

Western science recognizes that we carry three generations of epigenetic imprints forward from our ancestors, Ayurveda believes this number to be seven or more.
The effects of these physical "imprints" can be seen through physical traits, preferences, habits, etc. The subtle imprints bequethed to us are much more potent and effect the foundation of our consciousness, behavior and evolution.

During this session participants will be guided through a practice to prepare the mind and begin the process of identifying and unwinding lineage-based issuses in their family's tissues.

This sessions will include some lecture and a practice. All levels are welcome.

SESSION 5 WORKSHOPS: 11:00-1:00PM (choose one)

Yoga Nidra, Indu Arora

Yoga Nidra is an ancient practice with incredible relevance in the modern world. If you love Yoga, seek Yoga, study Yoga, teach Yoga or any aspect of Yoga  you must learn about Yoga Nidra. The study of yoga cannot end until we experience Yoga, become Yoga. Yoga does not end at meditation. In fact the biggest mystery is how to extend that momentary experience of meditation and bridge the gap between Dhyana and Samadhi. That missing link is Yoga nidra which allows us to create a consistent and continuous flow of absorption.

Take-aways:
  • Similarities and differences between Yoga Nidra and Savasana
  • The real meaning of Yoga Nidra

Chakras: Beauty Unbound, Shari Friedrichsen

The energy that supports you, that empowers your passion, that informs your truth, and that gives you your voice in the world comes from deep within in streams that converge in vortexes called chakras. These chakras and nadis (waves, rivers) are the underlying scaffolding that your body and mind form around. When the flow is healthy and strong, your life reflects this graceful foundation. And where these streams converge at 6 points within the body, there is an opportunity for increased awareness of and access to your most sacred self.

Unfortunately these rivers often become dammed, polluted or dissipated, due to different circumstances, negative attitudes or habits that we have adopted towards ourselves and perhaps even life itself. With compassionate awareness we can begin to clear and strengthen these internal rivers and convergences, giving ourselves more support, greater understanding of our internal and external life, and increasing our ability to be compassionate, kind, resilient and courageous.

AS ONE | Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation, Kevin Courtney

We leverage yoga postures to open, stretch, and strengthen the body.  We utilize the breath to bring the mind towards expansive stillness.  And through meditation, we learn to listen to that which is most subtle and essential.   The yoga tradition suggests what we actually are doing all along, is uncovering that which is already there.

Join Kevin Courtney for this illuminating practice of yoga, pranayama, and meditation as we collectively remember our innate and ever-present oneness.   As we come into the revelatory power of this fundamental truth - we will then turn our attention forward and envision how we can take what we have experienced here, and turn it into action.

Who I am Versus Who I Should Be: Guidance From the Yoga Path For Stepping into True Authenticity, Betsy Rippentrop

We often give our power away to others by putting too much stock into their opinions about who we “should” be. Yoga helps us “wake up” and start to feel, which gives us a taste of who we really are.  And yet, we cannot become more authentic through an act of will.  When we struggle or work too hard to change ourselves, we just keep the internal war alive. We’ve been endowed with 2 powers of knowing: Reason & Intuition.  Intuition is the communication between Source and us. We can never know our soul or who we really are through the power of reason, only through intuition.  This workshop will tap you into the 3 sources of of intuition so you can gain clarity on the big soul questions of who am I and what am I here to contribute?  This class integrates lecture, some discussion, and a full yoga practice.
